A pub quiz is an easy way to meet people in Munich: a set evening, a small team at one table and time to talk between rounds. We only list quiz nights that announce their dates on their own page or channel.

Substanz on Ruppertstraße holds a pub quiz every other Wednesday: doors at 6:30 pm, start at 8 pm, four rounds with 40 questions, with changing hosts. Rennbahn PubQuiz (Schwabing)

The Shamrock in Schwabing has a quiz every Thursday with questions in English and German: doors from 6 pm, the first question at 8 pm. The Alte Utting on Lagerhausstraße holds a quiz night several times a month: music quizzes, general quizzes and also an edition in English, each with doors at 7:30 pm and a start at 8 pm. How to find your quiz
- Coming alone: At the Shamrock you don't need to sign up and can ask on the spot whether a team has room. Elsewhere you usually register a team; ask beforehand whether you can join one.
- Team size: Up to four at the Substanzielles Pub-Quiz, up to five at the Rennbahn and mostly on the Alte Utting, up to six at TUTU, at Hand aufs Herz and at the Drag-Quiz-Night im ELI.
- Day of the week: Rennbahn and TUTU on Mondays, the Munich Music Quiz on Tuesdays, Substanz and Hand aufs Herz on Wednesdays, ELI and the Shamrock on Thursdays.
- Language: German and English at the Munich Music Quiz and the Shamrock, an English edition on the Alte Utting, German at Hand aufs Herz.
- Kind of quiz: Music at the Munich Music Quiz and on the Alte Utting, song rounds at TUTU, themed nights at the Rennbahn and at the Drag-Quiz-Night im ELI.

After the quiz
Between rounds and after the answers are read out is the best time to talk. Simple openers work: "Do you come here often?", "Which question annoyed you most?", "Do you know another good quiz?" And if the team got on well, arrange to meet at the next quiz.
For people who run a quiz
If you run a quiz like these, you know the moment after the answers when the teams head off without swapping numbers. before is a web app for organisers. At the start you show the QR code on your phone; guests check in with it in their browser, without installing an app, and anyone who likes takes a selfie. The day after, the afterparty is open from 10 am to 8 pm. Anyone who shared a selfie sees everyone else who shared one there and can press the button for meeting again for up to five people. At 8 pm everyone finds out at the same time who wants to see each other again, and only then does a chat open. One-sided wishes stay invisible, and nobody receives a rejection.
