Timeleft (various restaurants)
On Wednesdays at 19:00, Timeleft brings a small group of people who have never met to a restaurant table in Cologne. You book on your own, and the app shows you the restaurant beforehand. Köln Coffee Club (Altstadt or Südstadt)
The Köln Coffee Club brings four to six people together for brunch in a café, on some Sundays at 12:30, in the Altstadt or the Südstadt. According to its group page, it is for people aged 25 to 45. You buy a ticket or a membership through the Groupvibe platform, and the public pages do not give a price; you find out the exact café the evening before. Köln Coffee Club on Meetup
Lunch With New Friends (Belgian Quarter)
Four times a year, gannaca holds Lunch With New Friends at Restaurant Balthasar on Aachener Straße in the Belgian Quarter (Belgisches Viertel), at lunchtime and with seven seats for guests. Entry is free and you pay for your own food (2026). You sign up with the form on the series page; the organiser reviews every request, and your place is reserved only once it is confirmed. Allerweltshaus (Ehrenfeld)
At the Allerweltshaus in Ehrenfeld people eat together twice a month. At Linsensuppe & Kultur, lentil soup and culture, people cook together from 17:00 on the first Tuesday of each month and eat from 19:00, with a cultural programme as well; you can help cook or just drop in for the meal, and a donation is requested (2026). On the first Monday of each month, FARBENBLIND holds a get-together for everyone from 16:00 to 22:00, with injera and conversation; a small donation is requested for the food (2026), and you are asked to sign up. Gemeinsam lecker essen (Christuskirche)
At the Christuskirche on Dorothee-Sölle-Platz, volunteers serve lunch every Tuesday at 12:30, and everyone eats together at one long table. The menu alternates between meat and meat-free dishes. esswahres (Sülz)
At esswahres in Sülz you book single cookery classes, for example on Thai, Japanese or Indian food, most of them in the evening; the programme describes cooking and eating together in good company. Asia Food Cooking (Merkenich)
Asia Food Cooking at Merkenicher Hauptstraße 210 in Merkenich runs single cookery classes, such as Sushi Deluxe. According to the school, beginners, people on their own, couples and groups cook and eat together there and get to know new people. Kulturklüngel (changing venues)
Kulturklüngel runs public cookery classes in various restaurants and kitchens across Cologne, each booked on its own, with tickets for people on their own and small groups. For people who host a supper club
If you host a table like these, you know the moment at the door when guests leave without swapping numbers. before is a web app for organisers. When guests arrive you show the QR code on your phone; they check in with it in their browser, without installing an app, and anyone who likes takes a selfie. The day after, the afterparty is open from 10 am to 8 pm. Anyone who shared a selfie sees everyone else who shared one there and can press the button for meeting again for up to five people. At 8 pm everyone finds out at the same time who wants to see each other again, and only then does a chat open. One-sided wishes stay invisible, and nobody receives a rejection.
